‘Where “Tommy’s” Weapons Are Made and Tested‘ is a patriotically written and interesting report from 1900 on the manufacture of the Lee-Metford rifle at the Royal Small Arms Factory, Sparkbrook. It is reprinted in Research Press Digest 2023. This same edition of Digest also includes contemporary reports and notices concerning problems with .303 inch Mark IV. Ammunition in 1899, its use and change to Mark V.
‘The Magazine Rifle Mark I‘ was an article published in 1891. It is a critical review undertaken at a time when the British were adopting for the first time a magazine loading rifle, the Lee-Metford. The article is reprinted in Research Press Digest 2022.
