With the new century, so there was a small change in the pocket editions of the regulations. The attractive embossed cover with the full Royal Arms changes to a plain cover and size of the book marginally increases to 5.2 x 4.1 inches. Titles appeared on the spines of the books.

This Manual, which contains instructions on training which appertain to more that one branch of the Army, is issued by command of the army Council for the guidances of all concerned.
